Johnny Cash is a spirited three-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/Husky mix with a striking brindle coat and charming white accents. His essence is a thrilling blend of wild adventure and devoted affection. Cash is a powerhouse of energy and joy, perfect for someone who craves the open trail, a daily runner’s high, or the quiet satisfaction of a long mountain hike. He’s happiest logging long-distance adventures with his human and recently completed a 7½-mile hike, proving himself to be an incredible hiking companion. He’s not just a running buddy; he’s the kind of dog who’ll carry his favorite chew bone to greet you at the door and then snuggle up close when the day is done. After a good walk or hike, Cash settles beautifully and is calm and relaxed in the house, but he’s always ready for his next adventure at a moment’s notice!
Ideal Home
Cash would thrive in an active home with plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures. He needs a guardian who understands and can confidently manage his high prey drive. He cannot live with cats or be trusted off leash under any circumstances. He pulls toward squirrels and small dogs on walks and must remain securely leashed at all times outdoors.

Johnny Cash is house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He eats a good-quality grain-free diet and is currently doing great with digestion.
Training & Support
Cash is obedience-trained and knows sit, down, heel, go to place, and more! He thrives on structure and routine. He has a strong prey drive and needs an experienced owner who can manage this. He previously severely injured a family cat, requiring veterinary care and causing minor injuries to family members who intervened. He continues to show intense prey drive toward small animals.
