Hazel and Willow H 26074 are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Hazel is a sweet and gentle soul who shines as the big sister to Willow. She's always looking out for her sister, engaging in play, snuggling, and even sharing security duty. Hazel is motivated by treats and knows several basic commands like "sit," "down," "off," "up," "leave-it/drop-it," "go-potty," "crate," "kiss," and "breakfast/dinner." She is crate trained, potty trained, and can freely roam the home without issue. Hazel is recovering well from an ear infection and patiently accepts ear washes, drops, and medication, often hidden in a small piece of cheese. She would benefit from regular ear cleaning, nail trims, and grooming. Hazel and Willow are both excited for car rides and enjoy going places.
Ideal Home
Hazel and Willow would thrive in a calm, structured, and predictable environment with owners committed to helping them build confidence. Their foster home is an adult-only home without dogs or cats, and due to their unknown history, slow and thoughtful introductions to new people, children, and other animals may be necessary. While they were okay with cats in their previous home, their new home should be able to accommodate them with patient introductions. Hazel and Willow may show some separation anxiety when left alone, so a home where they can have limited alone time and a predictable routine with gentle reassurance will help them feel safe and settle in.
Ongoing Health
Hazel is currently recovering from an ear infection and is accepting of ear washes, drops, and medication. She would benefit from regular ear cleaning, nail trims, and grooming.
Training & Support
Hazel knows basic commands and is house and crate trained. She and Willow may be cautious with new people initially but warm up quickly to calm approaches and treats. With focused training, such as puppy socialization and nose-work classes, and positive reinforcement, Hazel will continue to flourish. Hazel and Willow may experience separation anxiety, so establishing a predictable routine and providing gentle reassurance will be key to helping them feel secure when left alone.
