Hazel

Hello, I’m Hazel, a playful and sweet American Bulldog mix with a beautiful white and tan coat and a big smile. I love to have fun and cuddle with my people! I’m house and crate trained and get so excited for my walks, though I can pull hard because I’m a strong girl. I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners.

I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and love to run around and play with balls. Because of my size and strength, I’d do best in a home with older children (10+). When I’m not playing, I also enjoy relaxing and napping in my own safe space. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long and prefer to be inside with my people. I get a little nervous about being abandoned, so I like to stay close to home and my favorite humans.

Ideal Home

A home that can provide consistent training and handling for my strength. I would do best with older children (10+) and would prefer a home where I can be inside with my people.

Ongoing Health

I have some digestive issues and require a special diet of lamb and rice.

Training & Support

I need ongoing training to help with my leash manners as I can pull. I also need to be crated when unsupervised as I tend to chew on things.

Transporation

I am currently being fostered in New Kent, VA. I can be transported to other states for the right home, though a transport fee may apply.
