Padme (Spayed) (Photos June 1 2025)

Padme is a beautiful 3-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix with a short, smooth brown coat, a white patch on her chest, and soft brown eyes. She was surrendered to our shelter in July 2024 and has been patiently waiting for her forever home. Padme enjoys long walks, cuddling with her people, visiting the dog park, and spending time outdoors. She's housetrained and knows basic commands like "sit," "down," and "shake paws."

Ideal Home

Padme would do best as the only pet in the home, as she needs to be an "only child" and does not get along with cats. She is also known to be a "door dasher," so secure fencing and supervision when doors are open are a must. Padme experiences severe separation anxiety and would benefit from a patient owner who can help her build trust that they will always return. She is also protective of her food when other dogs are present.

Ongoing Health

Padme was spayed on September 3, 2024, and also received a rabies vaccination.

Training & Support

Padme needs owners who can help her with her separation anxiety and door dashing tendencies. She may also need guidance with resource guarding around food and other dogs.
