💙🐕 Meet Lazarus, affectionately known as Lazzie! 🐕💙
Lazzie is a handsome 3-4 year old, 50 lb. black Lab mix with a gorgeous, shiny coat. He's a volunteer favorite, known for his calm, gentle, and quiet demeanor. Lazzie loves nothing more than lounging and cuddling on the bed with his people and his doggy pals. He's already living harmoniously with a tiny chihuahua and a 70 lb. pittie, proving he's a dog of all sizes! He even enjoyed a social outing at a local bar, confidently making new friends and being sweet and gentle with everyone he met. This resilient boy came to us suffering from mange and a respiratory infection, clearly having lacked proper care. He was found alone in a ditch in the harsh Texas elements, but through dedicated veterinary treatment, he's now healthy, strong, and strikingly handsome.
Ideal Home
Lazzie thrives in a home where he can cuddle with his people and other dogs. He's shown to be friendly with dogs of all sizes and likely would be a great fit for households with kids and cats, too.
Ongoing Health
Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered. He has fully recovered from his past skin and respiratory issues.
Training & Support
Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained, making him a well-adjusted companion right from the start.

Transportation
Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles. You will be able to track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates along the way. Please be prepared to use one of these services if you wish to follow your adopted dog during transport. Pick-up locations may vary, potentially requiring travel across city, county, or even state lines.
