Hazel

Meet Hazel! This precious 1-2 year old pittie mix is a true survivor, found as a stray, covered in wounds and terribly emaciated. Thankfully, she was taken in by some kind people who nursed her back to health, and now she's ready to find her forever family! Hazel is deaf, but this bright sparklet doesn't let that slow her down one bit. She's an energetic and friendly girl who adores kids and other dogs. In her foster home, she's busy learning all her manners, mastering potty training and leash walking while soaking up all the much-needed love. She's even learning sign language, proving she's a smart cookie who learns fast! Hazel is ready for her final victory – a lifetime of happiness.

Ideal Home

Hazel loves kids and would likely do well in a home with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Hazel was treated for wounds and emaciation and has made a full recovery. She is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Hazel is mastering potty training and leash walking in her foster home and is learning sign language. As she is deaf, continued training with positive reinforcement and visual cues will be key to her success.

Hazel is located in South Carolina, and transport to the northeast is available weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their new companion.
