Hi, my name is Butch! I'm a handsome male shepherd mix born in February of 2024. I'm a young, intelligent, and high-energy guy who loves to be on the move. I'm super well-behaved on leash and enjoy long walks and jogs. I'm affectionate, loving, and appropriate with people. I'm eager to please and quite smart – I might even make a great support dog!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for an active person or family who can keep up with my energy and provide me with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. I need space to run and a tall, fenced-in yard for off-leash adventures, as I'm a prolific jumper. I'm not a good fit for an apartment or townhouse unless you are extremely active and can take me out for exercise multiple times a day.

Training & Support

I have a dominant nature with other dogs and tend to react when they enter my space. While I can walk calmly on a leash with other dogs around, I should not go to dog parks or places where unleashed dogs might approach me. I do get along with some chill dogs, usually younger females, who respect my boundaries. I'm responding well to desensitization training, so with consistent, patient training, I could improve further.
