MEET SMOKEY — SAVED WITH ONLY MINUTES TO SPARE
Smokey's journey began on the tough streets of Harris County, Texas, where survival was a daily challenge. His rescue from the streets led him to a crowded shelter, where time was running out. Fortunately, we stepped in just in time to save this incredible soul.
It was evident that Smokey had spent most of his life outdoors, without proper shelter or care, which unfortunately led to a heartworm diagnosis. However, heartworms are treatable, and he began his treatment immediately upon arriving in our care.
Despite his past hardships, Smokey remains a gentle and loving boy. At around four years old, he has a lifetime of love to give. His foster family raves about him – he's polite, calm, and impeccably behaved indoors, with no accidents or complaints. He fills his foster home with gratitude and sweetness. Smokey also gets along wonderfully with other dogs!
From the streets to the shelter and now to a cozy foster home, Smokey's resilience shines through. He's now looking for a forever family to help him write the happiest chapter of his life.
