Norm is a charming 3-year-old, 70-pound mixed breed with a black coat and stylish white accents. He's neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and already potty trained, making him a great candidate for a new home. Norm has a personality that's a unique blend of "Eeyore"-like charm and independent snuggling, but don't let that fool you – he can be quite playful and is incredibly food motivated! He absolutely adores his big red herding ball, tennis balls, KONGs, and chew toys. He also loves to swim and engage in playful games of chase and roughhousing with other dogs. Norm is a quick learner and eager to please, having mastered commands like sit, down, give me five, wait/stay, place, and come (though outdoor distractions can sometimes test his focus). He's also had training with Dog Wizard, who offers lifetime support.
Ideal Home
Norm would thrive in a home with an adult who appreciates a predictable routine and consistent behavior. He should not be in a home with children. While he's never met a cat, he can do well with other dogs, provided they are introduced properly.

Norm is very trainable and picks up new skills quickly. His previous training with Dog Wizard comes with lifetime support, offering an excellent resource for his new family. While generally well-behaved, he has shown possessive and protective behaviors around food and belongings, specifically in relation to a young child. He has not displayed any lunging or biting but has snarled and growled. This behavior necessitates a home without children and an owner who can manage his resource guarding with consistent training and clear boundaries. He walks well on a slip lead with a figure-8 head harness.
