Meet Boone, a 2-year-old, 65-pound big red baby who may need a little time to get to know you—but he’s worth it.

Boone was found wandering as a stray near Hayward Ladner Memorial Park on the Wolf River with his buddy Otis. Otis has since found his forever home, and Boone is still waiting for his turn.

Boone can seem stand-offish at first, but with time, attention, and maybe a snack or two, his softer, sillier side begins to show. He’s an observant dog who likes to watch and figure things out before joining in. Once comfortable, he’ll let his personality shine.
