Gus

Gus is a Dachshund x Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. He adores being held, does great with kids, and is always looking for his next adventure. His favorite pastime is launching surprise attacks on stuffed animals, and he sometimes gets so excited during puppy playtime that he earns himself a puppy timeout. He's a happy, affectionate little guy who keeps everyone laughing. Gus is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog.

Ideal Home

Gus would love to have another playful dog in the home to romp around with. Because he's still small, any resident dog should be gentle and tolerant of puppy antics. A securely fenced yard is required for the next four weeks so Gus can safely play, exercise, and explore while protected from disease exposure.

Ongoing Health

Gus has received his first DHLPP vaccination and is up-to-date on his vaccinations. As he is still completing his puppy vaccination series, he cannot safely go on walks in public areas until one week after his second vaccination.

Training & Support

Gus is still learning to be house-trained and may need continued guidance. He can get a little too excited during playtime and sometimes needs a puppy timeout.
