Dewey is a 4.5-month-old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix with adorable ears and a heart full of love to give! He arrived at the rescue after being abandoned, but he quickly charmed his way into a foster home where he's now learning all the joys of being a puppy. Dewey is crate trained and making great progress with potty training. He loves to romp and play in the yard, investigate the resident cats with curiosity, and happily chase toys. Dewey is a sweet and affectionate boy who showers his people with kisses. He's still learning that shoes aren't chew toys, but he's a smart pup who picks up on things quickly. While generally brave, loud noises can startle him. He's starting to work on leash manners, though he truly enjoys the freedom of exploring outdoors. Dewey is also learning basic obedience and shows a lot of promise. As a hound mix, he'd thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard that allows him to explore and sniff to his heart's content, and a family that can match his energy before he's ready for snuggle time. This charming pup is eager to find his forever home soon!
