Oakley Dokely

Meet Oakley Dokely, a 75-pound lap dog with the sweetest heart. Oakley is a black Lab who will be 3 years old on July 10th. She is kennel trained, dog-friendly, and an absolute lovebug. Unlike her sister Bailey, Oakley is not very interested in playing with toys – she would much rather climb into your lap, soak up attention, and be as close to her people as possible. Oakley is bonded with her sister Bailey May, and they would do best being rehomed together. They are a sweet pair with different personalities: Bailey is the ball-loving goofball, and Oakley is the cuddly shadow who just wants to be loved. Oakley is great with kids and has a very gentle, affectionate personality. She would make a wonderful family dog in a home that can give her the love, structure, and care she deserves.

Oakley would do best in a home where she and her sister Bailey can stay together.

Ongoing Health

Oakley has a prior medical history that her future family should be aware of. She previously had major surgery, including a mastectomy and an intestinal resection. She has recovered, but this history should be shared with her future veterinarian so they can continue to monitor her appropriately. Oakley will be spayed, fully vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, and up to date on age-appropriate veterinary care before adoption.

Training & Support

Oakley is kennel trained but should not have beds or soft bedding in her kennel because she may chew them.
