Poppy is a 4-month-old puppy who is growing into a beautiful large dog, but don't let her size fool you—she's convinced she's a lap dog! This happy, outgoing girl loves everyone she meets and greets new friends with enthusiastic tail wags and plenty of puppy kisses. While she can occasionally be cautious with unfamiliar sounds, her curiosity and friendly personality quickly shine through. Poppy has the sweetest, most submissive personality. She melts onto the ground or rolls onto her belly, happily soaking up all the love and belly rubs she can get! She is doing wonderfully with potty training and is fully crate trained. Poppy sleeps through the night and is accident-free while crated, making her an easy addition to any home. She loves going for walks, taking her time to sniff every interesting scent along the way. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is wonderful with kids. Her favorite toys are Nylabones and soft plush toys, and when she's finished playing, she's perfectly content to find a cool air conditioning vent and settle in for a nap. Poppy has a wonderful medium energy level. She loves to run, play, and explore, but she also knows when it's time to relax. She's not hyper and isn't nippy with people, making her a joy to have around. One of Poppy's favorite activities is splashing around in a kiddie pool. She'll even sit in the water just to cool off! If your family enjoys spending time at the beach, lake, or anywhere near the water, Poppy will be right there with you, ready for every adventure. When the day winds down, Poppy's favorite place is snuggled up on the couch with her people. She would make an amazing companion for just about any family looking for a loving, playful, gentle, and loyal best friend.

Ongoing Health
The adoption fee includes: Microchip registered to 24 Pet Watch for free, DHPP Vaccine series, Bordetella Vaccine, Leptospirosis Vaccine series, Rabies vaccine, 4DX Heartworm test (7 months of age or older), Spay/Neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue), and general wellness care (includes deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention).
Training & Support
Poppy is doing wonderfully with potty training and is fully crate trained.

This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue.
