Athena

Athena is a sweet 3-year-old girl who originally came from West Virginia as a stray. She had a difficult start, requiring an emergency C-section and recovery, but she has since fully healed and is now ready to find her loving forever home. She weighs around 20 lbs and enjoys walks and spending time in a fenced yard. Athena is also crate trained and house-trained, and she loves to snuggle up in bed with her people at night. While she can be shy and skittish at first, especially around new people and in unfamiliar places, she gains confidence over time and is incredibly affectionate and playful once she warms up. She gets along well with other dogs and is also great with cats.

Ideal Home

Athena would thrive in a quiet household with no young children. She absolutely requires another dog in the home and a securely fenced yard. An active family that enjoys regular walks would be a perfect match, as she loves to walk and can even potty on leash.

Ongoing Health

Athena has fully recovered from her emergency C-section and is in good health.

Training & Support

Athena is 100% house-trained and crate-trained. She can be shy and startled by loud noises or new experiences, but she recovers quickly and does not show extreme signs of distress. Giving her time to adjust and a consistent routine will help her continue to build confidence.

Transporation

Athena is located in one of our volunteer foster homes within WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, or MI. Transportation can be arranged to an approved adopter within these states.
