Rita/Maggie May

Maggie May, an adult female German Shepherd mix, is a sweet and calm girl who just wants to be close to her people. She was rescued with her eight puppies from a high-kill shelter and eagerly awaited her forever home. Unfortunately, she was returned because she had a bit of an unfortunate incident with some chickens, which were not known to us at the time of her initial adoption. Despite this, Maggie is a gem who gives lots of kisses and is very affectionate once she trusts you. She's a quick learner, knows a few commands, and is very food motivated, making training a breeze. She walks well on a leash and does great with kids, adults, cats, and other dogs.

Ideal Home

A home where she can build trust and feel secure. Maggie May is not a good fit for homes with chickens.

Maggie May is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Maggie May is shy with new people initially but becomes extremely affectionate once she trusts you. She is house-trained and knows basic commands like "no" and "come." She's a fast learner and will pick up more commands with positive reinforcement.
