HALO

Halo is a spirited and intelligent German Shepherd mix who is eager to find her forever family. She's a big girl at 68 lbs, all legs and a little clumsy, but she has a heart full of love. Sadly, Halo has been returned twice due to her previous families not having enough time for her puppy needs. She's also had a bit of a nipping phase, which is understandable for a pup looking for direction. Halo is currently working on her socialization skills, as she can be fearful of other dogs and may bark at them when on leash or behind barriers. She also has a strong prey drive and is working on her impulse control around moving objects like cars and bikes.

Ideal Home

Halo would thrive in a home with experienced German Shepherd and puppy owners who understand the commitment, time, and gentle guidance needed for a young dog like her. Due to her size and puppy exuberance, older children, 9 years and up, would be best.

Ongoing Health

Halo is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is currently working through some behavioral challenges as noted above.

Training & Support

Halo is a smart and trainable pup who is eager to please. She is currently working on her dog reactivity and her impulse control around moving objects. Consistent, gentle training and positive reinforcement will be key to her success. She is also known to be a "shoe-stealer," so keeping tempting items out of reach will be helpful.
