Peppa

Peppa was born partially blind and deaf as the result of an accidental breeding of two dogs with merle-patterned coats. This genetic condition is known as "double merle." Double merles can live full, happy lives with the appropriate levels of care and support. Blind and deaf dogs can learn easily through positive reinforcement and touch cues. At Wags, we are dedicated to advocating for blind and deaf dogs like Peppa and are here to support their future families in helping their new dog grow and thrive. Peppa is sweet and affectionate when meeting new people! She loves playing with toys, especially puzzle toys, and is treat-motivated! She would love to learn more through positive reinforcement training. Peppa is a curious, smart, and athletic good girl who loves the water and would make a great adventure and hiking companion!
