He's believed to be a pittie mix around 7 months old and weighs 33 lbs. As with any rescue, we can't guarantee breed or age.
Ideal Home
Onyx Baby would thrive in a home with another dog, as he loves to follow his canine friends around like a little brother. He's super dog friendly and has gotten along great with every dog he's met, from dominant males and females to shy dogs and those who love to roughhouse. He's great at matching the energy of other dogs, playing when invited and enjoying relaxed hangout moments too. He also met a cat appropriately and was very respectful, not chasing or being bothered by feline antics. If you have a cat, we can arrange a sleepover to ensure they're a good match. Onyx would also love a backyard to romp in, but he's equally happy being a couch potato for movie marathon snuggles! We haven't seen Onyx around children yet, but we're happy to test him.

Onyx Baby comes to you fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Onyx Baby is already so well-behaved with wonderful house manners. He knows basic commands like "sit" and is very gentle when taking treats. He's eager to please and a smart boy, making any additional training a fun bonding experience. He is crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he may have occasional accidents if left alone for long hours.

Onyx Baby is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
