Shadow

Shadow is a 62-pound Terrier mix with a spunky spirit and a super sweet heart! One of his favorite things in the whole world is carrying around a soft squeaky toy wherever he goes – it's kind of his signature move. He's also a big foodie, so mealtime is very exciting for him! He did come in a bit on the skinny side, so he may need a slow feeder to help him eat at a better pace.

When he's not thinking about snacks, Shadow loves being outside, exploring all the sights and smells – it's where he feels happiest and most like himself. He can be a little unsure around new people or quick movements at first, but with calm, proper introductions, he warms up pretty quickly and shows his loving side. Once he feels comfortable, he's a total sweetheart who enjoys companionship and being part of the fun. With the right mix of patience, play, and love, he'll be a loyal and happy companion ready to share all his goofy, affectionate energy!

• Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at the time of adoption.

Shadow is located at the Humane Society of The Black Hills in Rapid City, SD. We can discuss transportation options after an application is approved.
