Meet Rex, a handsome four-year-old silver-gray Pitty or Staffy mix with the softest face, sweetest eyes, and an adorable white chest spot that makes him look like he's wearing a tiny tuxedo! Rex is a gentle giant who truly goes with the flow. His foster parent describes him as a "big soft house hippo who knows how to chill," always happy and eager to please. He loves affection and is content entertaining himself with toys, exploring the world with his nose, or just relaxing nearby. Rex is fully potty and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is very treat-motivated. He's lived with small children and is exceptionally gentle and patient with them. Rex also gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, though he'd also be happy as an only pet. While he hasn't met cats yet, we can do further testing if he seems like a good fit for your home. Rex is surprisingly apartment-friendly, requiring just a few walks, some sniffing time, his favorite toys, and plenty of love. He's the perfect blend of handsome, goofy, affectionate, and low-fuss, and he's ready to bring calm and happiness into your life!
Ideal Home
Rex would be happy in a variety of homes, including apartments, as he is quiet, gentle, and low-key. He would enjoy a home with a medium to low-energy dog companion or would be perfectly content as the only pet.

Rex is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can track your pet's journey in real time. A $87 surcharge applies for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
