Winston

Winston is a lovable, easygoing guy with a smile that could melt just about anyone's heart. He originally came to HSVC as a stray and quickly became a staff favorite thanks to his sweet personality, gentle spirit, and constant need to be part of the action. Winston is the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, whether that means lounging in the office while you work, joining a pack walk, or curling up next to you for some well-earned cuddle time. Around here, he's known as the "Best Office Buddy" and "Training Demo Pro" because he helps new volunteers practice their skills and makes everyone smile while he does it. Winston walks beautifully on leash, knows his basic commands, and is very treat motivated. Plus, he has a signature move: he loves carrying a toy in his mouth everywhere he goes, it's his way of saying, "life is good!" He spent some time in a home with young children, but it just turned out not to be the right match. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with great manners, a goofy grin, and a heart as big as his smile, Winston thinks you're meant to meet.
