Introducing Cassie, an incredible, smart puppy born in late September 2024! This adorable girl is a bundle of joy, believed to be an Anatolian German Shepherd blend. At just 7 months old, she's already a hefty 75 pounds full of pure love and energy! Cassie is affectionate, goofy, and bursting with happiness. Her playful spirit and well-mannered nature make her a delight to be around. With her fantastic personality and easy demeanor, she picks up training like a pro! Cassie thrives in an active environment where she can continue to develop her outgoing nature and socialize with friends. She needs an active, outgoing, adventurous spirit who can guide her toward becoming the best version of herself. Cassie enjoys walking outings, learning to socialize, and car rides. Hiking and trails are awesome, making daily walks so much fun. Meeting new people and other dogs comes easily. Having faced the challenges of being abandoned at a young age, Cassie truly deserves a loving home where she can shine! She wants to please and have fun. She is currently in a foster home where she interacts with other dogs and children of all ages, as well as cats.

Ideal Home

Cassie needs an active, outgoing, and adventurous spirit who can guide her. She thrives in a pack environment where she can learn from other well-mannered, balanced dogs, so a home with other dogs is highly recommended. Cassie is not suitable for first-time or inexperienced pet owners.

Ongoing Health

All adoptions include: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccination, all appropriate core vaccinations (including Lepto & Corona), heartworm tested negative, receives monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, Lyme disease tested negative, dewormed and fecal tested negative. All testing completed within 6-12 months. All age-appropriate needs (blood work, dental, testing, and meds) are also included, along with lifetime microchip registration.

Training & Support

Ongoing training and continued socialization are crucial for Cassie's safe future and success. She is highly motivated by food, toys, and praise. Cassie is almost fully potty trained, house-trained, and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash, and off-leash recall is excellent. We are actively working on basic obedience training. Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily.

• A minimum of 2 Meet & Greets are required before adopting.
• A home check needs to take place.
• Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense.
• We DO NOT ship any of our adoptable pets.
• Adoption fees are paid at the time of adoption.
• No exchange or request for money is required before adoption.
• No payment plans.
• A minimum tax-deductible suggested adoption fee donation of $450 is non-negotiable.
• For AHRS Former Adopters, no adoption fee is required; a donation of choice is expected, encouraged, welcome, and appreciated.

Transporation

Cassie is currently fostered north of Indianapolis in Howard County. She is available for foster-to-adopt arrangements.
