Blake is a sweet, soulful girl who has spent most of her life in rescue. She started with us as a young puppy and grew up without a consistent home to help her work through her fears. For a while, Blake was stuck in boarding, safe but not home, and like many, she began to shut down. But Blake is finally in a foster home again, one where she can start building trust, especially with men, and continue growing into the dog we’ve always known she could be. She’s already showing us her potential! Blake is a total love bug once she opens up. She bonds hard, cuddles close, and wants so badly to feel safe with her people. Men still make her nervous, but with patience and structure, she can learn that not all guys are scary. Blake has been working hard on her dog-to-dog social skills and has shown great progress. She does best with slow, neutral introductions and a decompression period, followed by short, positive interactions, especially with calm dogs who can model good social behavior. She’s done well with dogs in her foster home and is gentle and respectful with cats. Continued guidance and the right match will help her keep building confidence. We know there’s a fantastic dog in there—she just needs the right person to help bring it all out. Blake deserves a soft landing, a second chance, and a home that’ll stick by her side while she continues to grow.
