Huey is a handsome and athletic 2-year-old dog, estimated to be a Labrador mix. Weighing 56 lbs, he's a mid-size companion with incredibly expressive ears. Huey is intelligent, motivated, and thrives with confident leadership and clear boundaries. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to settle indoors, often following his people around like a quiet shadow. He also rides well in the car and enjoys a good breeze. Ideal Home
Huey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play freely. Apartment living is not suitable for him. While he has enjoyed living with children and other dogs in previous foster homes, long-term cohabitation with children is not ideal. He can be a wonderful guest for visits with kids, but a peaceful home environment is best for his permanent residence. He can coexist with other dogs, provided their meal times are managed separately to prevent resource guarding (e.g., feeding in crates). Alternatively, a one-dog household would also be a great fit, as he has plenty of personality and love to share. A calm, structured home with someone who understands his needs is essential.
