Meet Toby, a 6-month-old, 26-pound Carolina Corgi mix with a heart as big as his adorable ears! Toby's journey began with heartbreak when he was abandoned at a high-kill shelter with his mom. While his mom found a home quickly, Toby was left scared and alone. Thankfully, a loving foster stepped in, and Toby has been blossoming ever since. He was initially terrified of the outside world, but by watching his confident foster sisters, he's now happily exploring on leash and enjoying sunbeams. Toby is shy with new people and needs time to adjust to new environments, but once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal, calm, and gentle companion who quietly follows you everywhere. He's a smart, quick learner and gets along wonderfully with other animals, including the six dogs and one cat he currently lives with. Toby finds reassurance and confidence in the company of other pets, so a happy, confident, playful dog in the home is a must. While he's fine around children, a quieter home without young kids would be ideal for him to continue gaining confidence. For a family willing to offer patience and kindness, Toby will reward you with unwavering loyalty.
Ideal Home
Toby thrives in a home with a happy, confident, playful dog to provide him with a role model. A quiet environment without young children would best support his need to observe his surroundings and continue building confidence. A securely and fully fenced yard is required; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Toby is fully vaccinated with 3 rounds of shots, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.
Training & Support
Toby is currently puppy pad trained and has made excellent progress with indoor potty training. While he is still working on his fear of loud noises and the outside world, he eagerly follows his canine role models when they go outside. With a patient family and a confident dog companion, transitioning to outdoor potty training is expected to be quick. He is a smart puppy and a fast learner.
