Hello, my name is Mercury! I am an approximately 18-month-old male Lab and Pit Bull mix weighing around 48 pounds. I was found as a stray and never reclaimed. I am a sweet and gentle boy who can be a little shy when adjusting to new people and environments. New situations can be overwhelming at first, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, I begin to relax and show my affectionate side. Once I trust someone, I enjoy quiet cuddle time and being close to my people. I walk well on a leash and would do best with a family that can provide encouragement and support as I continue to build confidence. I am still learning that new experiences can be positive, and I am looking for someone willing to help me grow at my own pace. I have done well with female dogs. My compatibility with male dogs is currently unknown. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to ensure we are a good fit for one another.

Ongoing Health

I have tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, my heartworm treatment is sponsored, helping ensure I have every opportunity to live a long and healthy life. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and annual boosters.
