Buddy Boy is a very sweet 7-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who weighs 75 pounds. This big, lovable boy is quiet and happy, with a gentle, easygoing nature that can also surprise you with bursts of energy! Buddy Boy loves other dogs and his humans, making him incredibly easy to love and even easier to spoil. Like many rescue dogs, he guards his food, so he simply needs to be fed separately from other dogs. He has lived harmoniously with other dogs for many years and excels in all other aspects of home life. Buddy Boy is the kind of dog you can have in your home and rarely hear a peep from, as long as he gets plenty of belly rubs and treats. He dreams of having his very own forever family to adore and a big, comfy spot to nap. Buddy Boy has been waiting for a home for a very long time, and sometimes the truly wonderful ones get overlooked. He even graced the local news recently, hoping to catch someone's eye and heart!
Ideal Home
Buddy Boy's family needs to be fairly active and enjoy spending time outdoors. While he loves to relax, he requires regular exercise, such as a vigorous walk or playtime every day. He needs a safe space to explore, so a fully fenced yard or enclosed area is a must. He does well alone during the day but thrives with daily activity.
Ongoing Health
Buddy Boy is up-to-date with his vaccines, neutered, Heartworm Negative, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Buddy Boy is house and crate trained and is very compliant, readily going into his crate when directed.
