Ricky Bobby is a thoughtful, independent girl who's blossoming beautifully in her foster home. She may not be the type to immediately climb into your lap, but give her patience, consistency, and kindness, and you'll earn an incredibly loyal companion.
Ricky is fully house and potty-trained, and has been an excellent apartment dog with a hybrid work schedule with her foster. She's medium energy - happy with 1-2 daily walks at a moderate pace, especially if they include plenty of time for "sniff-aris" and squirrel watching. At home, she's wonderfully calm and spends much of her day snoozing peacefully (sometimes chasing rabbits and softly barking). She enjoys being near her people - sharing the couch or hanging out in the same room - but she's not especially clingy or cuddly. In fact, she'd much rather sleep independently on the floor than take over your bed. She's a wonderful match for someone who appreciates companionship without constant physical affection.
Ideal Home
Ricky would do best in an adults-only home where she can be the center of attention as the only pet. She thrives in a calm, patient environment with people who value progress over perfection and will continue helping her feel safe and confident.
Ongoing Health
Ricky is a healthy girl with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Ricky has pretty good leash manners and enjoys being out and about, though she prefers calm neighbor dogs that mostly ignore her rather than enthusiastic canine attention. She's highly trainable, eager to learn, and responds very well to patient, positive guidance.
