Myrtel

Myrtel is a sweet and professional office dog who is looking for her forever home. She's a natural greeter and an enthusiast for all things snack-related. Myrtel is a patient and understanding soul, having learned a lot about life's twists and turns. She enjoys supervising her humans, "safety checking" trash cans and lunch boxes, and perfecting her butt-scratch preferences. Myrtel has also discovered the joy of quiet naps in laundry baskets and is slowly opening up to head pets. She's even taken to howling at emergency service sirens, a behavior the shelter staff are playfully encouraging with the command "HUZZAH!" Myrtel recently enjoyed a car ride and is continuing her personal growth journey, proving that she is still brave and learning.

Myrtel's ideal home will be with a patient, kind, and gentle person who understands she may need time to settle in. Her future person will celebrate her progress, forgive her "experimental phases," and understand that trust is built together.

Myrtel is currently healthy and has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Myrtel is a work in progress and is learning new things every day. She is currently working on her howling at sirens and responding to the command "HUZZAH." Her new family should be prepared to continue building trust and understanding her process as she adjusts to a new home.
