Mateo is a silly and athletic guy who was rescued from the streets a few years ago after an attack. He's been waiting at the shelter for a while, but he's more than ready to leave his past behind and find a loving forever home. Mateo is full of energy and loves to play, especially fetch with his favorite rubber ball. He's an impressive runner and would be a perfect match for someone who enjoys hiking, staying active, or playing sports. Mateo's playful personality is also evident in his silly antics, like rolling around on his back, wiggling with excitement, or greeting you with enthusiastic face and ear kisses. When the weather turns cold, he enjoys snuggling up close.

Ideal Home

Mateo would do best as the only pet in the home as he is not fond of cats or other dogs, likely due to his past experiences on the streets.

Mateo's adoption fee has been sponsored and covers his spay/neuter, microchip, and current vaccines.
