Dakota

Dakota is a beautiful Lab mix with a heartwarming smile who has been patiently waiting for her forever home for over five years! She absolutely loves to zoom around in play yards, cool off in the dog pools, and is a big fan of belly rubs. Dakota is looking for a very calm environment where she can truly blossom. This includes a home with only 1-2 people and no cats. Building trust is a journey for Dakota, so her future family will need to be patient and dedicated to visiting her for a few months before she can go home. Once she lets you into her heart, you'll discover a fun, affectionate, gentle, and playful companion. Her trust is a precious gift, and she is so worth the effort! We are holding onto hope that the perfect family will come along for our sweet girl.

Ideal Home

Dakota needs a very calm environment with no cats. She requires a family that is willing to commit to multiple visits over a few months to build trust before she can go home.

Ongoing Health

Dakota is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is also on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. As with all our dogs, Dakota must be an indoor dog.

Training & Support

Dakota needs time and patience to learn to trust. Once trust is established, she is a fun, affectionate, gentle, and playful companion.
