Denny - ADOPTED

Denny is a 4-year-old, 59.47-pound Labrador Retriever, Basenji, and Formosan Mountain Dog mix who was rescued from a bear trap in Taiwan. Despite his rough start, Denny is a loving and trusting companion with a temperament similar to a Labrador Retriever. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but his favorite companions are people. Denny is calm, quiet, and rarely causes trouble. He is also very gentle with children and enjoys car rides and outings.

Ideal Home

Denny would be a great fit for a moderately active family. While he doesn't require a lot of intense exercise, daily low-impact activities are important for his well-being. We recommend a home with children older than 5 years old, as Denny, while gentle with toddlers, is a larger dog. He thrives on being included in daily activities and adventures, so a family that enjoys taking him on outings, day trips, or vacations would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Denny's health is excellent. He has been thoroughly tested and is up-to-date on all vaccinations and deworming. He is microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative. His medical records, including hip and joint x-rays, will be provided to his adopter. He will have his teeth cleaned before coming to the US.

Training & Support

Denny is 100% house-trained and is very clean, never having accidents indoors. He is not aggressive or possessive with food or toys, nor does he suffer from separation anxiety. He is also not bothered by loud noises like thunderstorms or fireworks. Denny may sometimes chew on cloth items.

Transporation

Denny is currently in Taiwan and will be scheduled to come to the US once a committed adopter is found. Upon arrival, he will be staying with his foster family in North Wilmington, Delaware.
