About Max

Meet Max – Your Next Adventure Buddy and Snuggle Pro

Max is a 4-year-old, neutered male, weighing in at 40 pounds, with a heart of gold and a wagging tail that never quits. He's the kind of dog who just wants to be where his people are, whether it's snuggling on the couch, handing out kisses, or following you from room to room. He’s playful, social, and especially fond of games like tug-of-war. Max loves long walks, outdoor adventures, playing with other dogs, toys, treats, and being part of a family showered with love.

Ideal Home

Max has done wonderfully in his foster home, which includes both small and large children. He adores kids but should be supervised around the little ones, as he sometimes forgets he's not a tiny lap dog! He’s also perfectly content as a solo pet, as long as you’re ready to give him plenty of love, attention, and playtime. He does great being left alone during the workday, especially if he’s had a walk or has a furry friend to hang out with.

Ongoing Health

No specific ongoing health issues were mentioned in the listing.

Training & Support

Max is smart, eager to please, and highly motivated by both treats and praise. He’s learned basic commands, is house trained, and would be a great candidate for learning to use a doggie door. He gets excited when his favorite people are around and loves to jump on them for head rubs and love. He does not like going to the doctor or the groomer, so a patient approach will be needed for these situations. Max needs a loving home with someone ready to invest time in consistent training and daily exercise.
