Meet Ike! This goofy, lovable Labrador Retriever mix's favorite thing in the world is being with people. He has never met a stranger and believes everyone is a potential best friend! Ike is full of classic Lab enthusiasm and would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. He's still learning that personal space exists and may occasionally forget just how big he is, but his affectionate nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for continued training. Ike's promise: "I might not fit in your lap, but I'm going to try anyway and I'll make you smile every day." Ideal Home
Ike would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. He may occasionally forget just how big he is, so a home where he has room to move would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
All vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping are included for an additional fee of $75.
Training & Support
Ike is still learning that personal space exists and may occasionally forget just how big he is, but his affectionate nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for continued training. Pura Sanguine provides socialization for their dogs through playgroups and one-on-one bonding time, where they also work on leash training and basic commands. They aim to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and understanding, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs they can be.

Transporation
Ike is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH. Transportation ranges from $100-500. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request with financial responsibility on the adopted family. Pura Sanguine's transport buses or vans are equipped with air conditioning for comfort and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. You can follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. The adoption coordinator will help to find the closest transport pick-up location to you.
