River was rescued from an overcrowded shelter, emaciated and battling kennel cough. She's a super sweet girl who has completed her quarantine and medication, and is now eating well and showing her playful personality more each day. She loves everyone she meets, including men, women, and children. While she seems to be dog-friendly based on short introductions, she might be a little too interested in cats. River was initially thought to be an older dog, but her newfound playfulness suggests she's younger than the shelter's guess of 8 years old. It's clear she's had a tough life, likely used for breeding many litters, and she truly deserves to be a cherished member of a loving family. She's very eager to please and listens well, even showing restraint around chickens! We believe she's a Mastiff or Cane Corso mix, and she definitely has that endearing "lean on your leg" characteristic!
Ideal Home
