Trooper is an incredibly resilient and joyful pup with an unstoppable spirit! Despite a rough start as a puppy where he underwent two surgeries to repair a broken jaw, he doesn't let his missing front lower jaw slow him down one bit. He eats, drinks, plays fetch, and embraces life with enthusiasm. Trooper is handler-oriented, biddable, and eager to please, making him a joy to train and work with. He has a strong drive for hunting, toys, and food, and is an athletic powerhouse who can navigate tight spaces with ease. Trooper is a playful and clever goofball who will entertain you with his silly antics and unique games. He's a high-energy dog looking for a job to channel his talents, excelling in areas like dock diving, detection/nosework, or agility, and would also make an exceptional exercise buddy. He's already started in Nosework fundamentals and has a solid foundation in finding scents.
Ideal Home
Trooper would love a job to focus his talents and would thrive in an active environment. Due to his jaw, bitework is not an option. He is not recommended for homes with small or young children, but may be cat-workable.

Trooper is missing the front part of his lower jaw due to past injuries and surgeries.
Training & Support
Trooper has a solid foundation in marker training (yes, no, good, uh-uh), sit, down, stand, bed with duration, heel work, positioning, body awareness, and an informal retrieve. Front and middle training are in progress. He is fully housebroken. Trooper can be handler sensitive and thrives with fair, clear communication built on trust. He is wary of strangers but warms up quickly, and plays well with dogs after a proper introduction.
