Meet Chopo 🐾

Chopo is a 3-4 year old cuddle bug with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Found in the woods just a few months ago, he’s come a long way and is ready for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood. He is approximately 65-70 lbs.

Ideal Home

Chopo is looking for a thoughtful home that can provide him with slow introductions to new dogs. He would do best as the only pet or with an experienced owner who can properly manage and train through his resource guarding behaviors (food, bones, and toys) around other dogs. He may also mark indoors if he smells another male dog. He is great with kids and loves being around his people.

Ongoing Health

Chopo has overcome some medical challenges and received eye surgery for entropion and an ulcer. He is now healthy and fully vetted, including being neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and on yearly prevention.

Training & Support

Chopo has great basic manners—he is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and knows sit. He also does great for baths and absolutely loves cuddle time. While he is playful and energetic, he may be a little hyper at times.
