About Honey

Meet Honey, a petite little survivor with the sweetest soul. Honey spent her early life doing everything she could to protect her puppies while living under a conex east of Phoenix, trying to survive day by day. After she and her babies were safely rescued, this brave momma finished nursing her litter and is finally getting the chance to learn what it means to simply be a dog. Honey is very skittish and still learning that humans can be kind, patient, and safe. She needs someone willing to give her time, space, and lots of love while she continues to build confidence. She needs slow intros to crate and leash training. The beautiful part is that she is already making progress. Honey has recently started enjoying gentle pets and is beginning to seek out quiet companionship on her own terms. She is an independent girl who loves having access to a doggie door so she can spend time outside relaxing and exploring at her own pace. Honey would do best in a calm, patient home as an only dog for now. An ideal adopter or foster would understand shy dogs and be willing to celebrate the small victories right alongside her. We estimate she is around 4 years old and will be a medium-sized dog once she gains weight back. This sweet momma has spent her whole life surviving. Now she deserves the chance to learn what happiness, comfort, and unconditional love feel like. Honey is looking for a foster or adopter willing to help her blossom into the happy dog she was always meant to be.
