Monkey

Monkey came to us in March of 2023, surrendered to animal control with another dog. He's a very loving boy once he gets to know you, and it took a couple of months for him to truly settle in with us. He may grumble when picked up, and he definitely has a discerning taste for who he likes. Monkey gets along well with other dogs, but he's not a fan of cats or children. Despite his cautious nature, he's a good boy who's had a rough start to life, and he needs humans who understand and are patient with his past.

Ideal Home

Monkey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard; we do not approve of underground fencing. While exceptions might be made for apartment living depending on the dog, a fenced yard is generally preferred. It's essential that Monkey becomes a cherished member of the family and lives inside the home. He does best in a home without cats or children.

Ongoing Health

Monkey is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Monkey is still learning to trust, so patience and understanding are key. He may grumble when picked up and tends to choose his favorite people. Building his confidence and showing him consistent love will be important for his continued adjustment.
