They are the kind of eyes that look like they could keep your secrets and your whole life story with understanding and love. Pippa has a calm, tender presence about her, and while she likes to take it a little slower at first, there is something very special waiting on the other side of that trust. Pippa Love is estimated to be around 2.5 years old and weighs 66 lbs. She appears to be a Catahoula and Pittie mix, though with rescue, breed and age are always our best guess. What we do know is that she is a loving girl with a gentle spirit, a calm way about her, and the kind of sweetness that feels even more meaningful because it is earned slowly and honestly. She is the kind of dog who quietly becomes your whole world, the kind you look over at one day and realize you cannot imagine the house without her in it. If you are looking for a dog with depth, sweetness, and a truly lovely spirit, Pippa Love is your girl!

Ideal Home

Pippa would do well in a home with a medium-energy dog who enjoys a little running and play, especially one who can help show her the ropes without overwhelming her. She would also likely enjoy a home with a yard or a quieter, more suburban-style apartment setting where she can settle in at her own pace.

Training & Support

Pippa is easygoing and enjoyable on leash, more of a leisurely stroller than a power walker. She loves a little guided sweet talk and does not thrive under stern pressure; harsh corrections or too stern a voice go right for her feelings. What she really needs is someone who understands that confidence with new routines or places is not rushed, it is built. Give her that kind of kindness and patience, and she is absolutely going to show you her quiet confidence. With other dogs, Pippa takes meeting new dogs on leash slow and steady but softens quickly into a playful, light-hearted girl who loves a good round of chase. She is thoughtful at first, but once she feels comfortable, she knows how to have fun. She adjusts her playstyle beautifully according to the dog and does not overcorrect or overmanage other dogs in large playgroups.

• The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship).

Transporation

Pippa is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
