Bruce is a handsome 4-year-old, all-black German Shepherd with a goofy personality and a guard dog's ego. He absolutely loves his walks, a good game of tug-of-war, being chased, ear and belly scratches, and playing in the water. Bruce also enjoys chew toys, bones, and the flirt pole! While he'd love to sleep on your bed, he's also perfectly content on the couch. He was previously kennel-trained and has been free-range for the past couple of years when his family leaves.

Ideal Home

Bruce would do best in a home with an experienced owner who understands German Shepherds and other working breeds. He needs an active owner who will keep him engaged. Due to his reactivity, Bruce cannot be in a household with dogs or children. He can be a little slow to warm up to new guests, but once he does, he can become best friends with anyone who plays with him or offers a treat!

Ongoing Health

Bruce has EPI, which requires him to take a pill before each meal. This medication costs approximately $125 bi-monthly. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Bruce is reactive towards dogs and children and cannot live with them. He may take some time to warm up to new people, but he can become quite friendly with those who engage him with play or treats.
