Sweet, Steady, and So Easy to Love!

Chelo is a beautiful Doberman / German Shepherd mix with a classic brown and black coat, warm eyes, and a gentle, soulful presence. Born in June 2024, she is about 50 pounds and ready to find her forever home. Chelo is the definition of a sweetheart, striking a perfect balance between fun and calm. She's friendly, kind, and affectionate, and while she may take a few minutes to settle into new environments, she warms up quickly and bonds deeply with her people.

Ideal Home

Chelo is wonderful with children and enjoys interacting and playing with them. With adults, she is friendly and open and tolerates handling well. She is submissive, easygoing, and respectful with other dogs, preferring those with a similar calm, balanced energy and one-on-one interactions over chaotic group settings. A home with a yard where she can stretch her legs would suit her best.

Chelo is in good health.

Training & Support

Chelo will need continued work with potty training, crate training, and leash skills, but she is very easy to train and eager to please. She responds beautifully to gentle, consistent guidance and would thrive with an adopter who is patient and structured. She has no concerning behaviors, no escape tendencies, and no mouthiness.

Chelo is currently in foster care in NC and will be transported to her approved adoptive family.
