Sleepy - URGENT

Sleepy is a sweet 9-week-old Shepherd mix who desperately needs a loving home. She is currently at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter and is at risk due to an upper respiratory infection. This little one arrived on June 4, 2026, and is eager to start her new life. Companion Animal Protection Services (CAPS) is working with the shelter to find homes for at-risk dogs like Sleepy. The shelter is overcrowded, and due to limited space and resources, many dogs are at high risk for euthanasia.

Sleepy is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection. Please be prepared to provide any necessary ongoing veterinary care.

Training & Support

As a young puppy, Sleepy will benefit from consistent training and socialization.

Transporation

Sleepy is located at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. CAPS can arrange transportation for adopters on the West Coast; however, adopters will be responsible for any associated transport fees.
