Slim Needs Some Shady

Slim is a sweet, approximately 5-year-old Dachshund weighing around 10 pounds. He has a rare skin condition called black hair follicular dysplasia, which means he's allergic to his own hair. While this makes him a bit bald, it's not harmful to him. He's a very affectionate boy who can warm up to people faster with the company of other dogs, though this isn't a requirement for his new home.

• With an approved application, a deposit can hold your new best friend for up to 1 week. This deposit is not refundable nor transferable and is not applied to the adoption fee.

Slim is located at PAWS (Protecting Animal Welfare Society) at 400 W. Walnut St., Jacksonville, IL 62650. You can meet him on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
