Maya is an 8-year-old gentle soul with dreamy blue eyes and pointy ears, and a heart that’s ready to settle right into yours. She's a true "people dog" who lives for her humans and thrives on cuddles, companionship, and quality time together. Maya likes to think of herself as a one-and-only kind of gal. While other dogs are nice, she really shines when she can soak up all the love, belly rubs, and attention for herself. She has more than enough affection to give in return. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you endlessly, curl up beside you, and make every day a little warmer, Maya just might be your girl.

Ideal Home

Maya would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and receive plenty of cuddles and companionship. She prefers to be the only pet in the household to soak up all the love.

Ongoing Health

Maya is currently recovering from what veterinarians believe was a severe case of IVDD (disc disease). She is making steady progress but still needs extra rest and a calm, cozy space while she continues healing. Her vets would like to keep a close eye on her as this can sometimes be a recurring condition. As part of the Fospice program, the SPCA of Texas will cover her medical care and supplies for as long as she needs.

Maya is a people-oriented dog who thrives on attention. Providing her with a calm and loving environment will support her continued healing.
