Meet Peter Pan, a 9-week-old (estimated DOB March 2026) male Chihuahua/Terrier mix who currently weighs around 3 pounds and is ready for his grand adventure! Found abandoned on the streets of Houston with his siblings, this little lost boy is full of charm, curiosity, and a gentle spirit. Peter Pan loves exploring, playing tug-of-war, and is a sweet, thoughtful presence in his foster home in Austin, Texas. He's a brave and social pup who promises a lifetime of kisses, cuddles, and adorable mischief.
Ideal Home
Peter Pan is looking for a family committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult. He should do well with children, cats, and other dogs, provided introductions are handled appropriately. Because of his tiny size, any resident pets should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions must be supervised. Ideally, his new family will have someone home more often than not to help with his training and care. Applications will not be considered for homes where the applicant works outside the home for more than 4 hours at a time, unless another adult is available to care for him during the day.
Ongoing Health
As a young puppy, Peter Pan is still learning all about the world. He is working on potty training and crate training, and his new family should be prepared to continue consistent training, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement, and patience. His exact breed mix and adult size are unknown, so adopters should be prepared for some mystery and lots of puppy surprises.
Training & Support
Peter Pan is still developing his house-training and crate-training skills and will need continued consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision. Due to his young age, he cannot be left alone for long periods and requires a home where someone is present to support his development.
