Meet Deliah! She's a wonderfully sweet and fun sidekick looking for a loving home. Deliah is a Bluetick Hound mix who weighs about 36 lbs. Her estimated birthday is March 22, 2019, making her approximately 4 years old.

Deliah's story didn't start out easy; she was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived outside in a crate without a proper bottom, left in the woods. Despite this rough start, Deliah has a resilient, curious, and loving spirit. Now safe and learning what it means to be cared for, she is embracing all the play, comfort, and attention she can get.

She is a petite hound whose heart is set on giving and receiving love. Deliah adores pets of any kind, anytime, and anywhere. She's your perfect companion, always ready for fun interactions and by your side. If you want to spread happiness and make new friends, bring the extroverted Deliah, a true social butterfly, with you to the park or a coffee shop patio, and you'll be met with smiles and joy. Her cute tail rarely stops wiggling!

Deliah thrives on being close to her people, whether that's curling up for snuggles, climbing onto your lap, or quietly following you around the house. She is learning that the world is a safe place and is blossoming each day with patience and reassurance. She acts younger than her estimated age, so we believe she's around 4 years old.

Deliah is kennel and potty trained. She is dog-friendly. While her interactions with cats and children are unknown, she is likely friendly.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Deliah is located in Houston, TX, but transport is included in the adoption fee. Please note that pickup locations may vary, including nearby towns or states.
• We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
• Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog.
• Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff.
• Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
• All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
