About Lucy

Eleven years young and still going strong — that’s me, Lucy! I’m a sweet 38lb Cocker Spaniel girl with a whole lot of love to give, and I’ve been told I’m basically the perfect houseguest. My foster family describes me as an ideal companion. Walks are my jam! The moment I spot another dog or a friendly human, my whole back end gets in on the excitement. I’m wonderful on leash and love saying hello to everyone we pass. Fair warning: the neighbors have figured out that I never turn down a treat, but we're working on my figure! At home, I’m a total dream. I am fully housebroken and have never had an accident. I have free run of the house and have never needed a crate. My foster family keeps dog beds in every room, but honestly, I prefer the cool tile. I know my name, come when called, sit on command, and I take my treats with impeccable manners. I even wait patiently for my dish at mealtimes while the other dog gets served first. I love being cuddled, petted, and talked to, and I listen very attentively. Belly rubs are always welcome, and I genuinely enjoy my daily brushing and face washing. I had a few teeth removed, but it hasn’t slowed down my love of food one bit. I’m great with dogs and humans, and would likely do well with older children. I haven’t had any experience with cats, but given how gentle and loving my personality is, my foster thinks I’d probably be just fine. If you’re looking for a devoted, well-mannered companion to share your home and your heart — I’m your girl.

Ideal Home

A home that will appreciate my devotion and well-mannered nature.

Ongoing Health

A few teeth have been removed, but it does not affect my love for food.

Training & Support

I am housebroken, know basic commands, and have excellent manners. I am also great with other dogs and humans, and would likely do well with older children. My foster thinks I would be fine with cats, though I haven't had prior experience.
