Smokey

Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso/Weimaraner mix who weighs 60 pounds. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet, kind-hearted, and affectionate boy who just wants love and attention. He's very smart, a quick learner, and has a gentle nature. Smokey enjoys playing chase with other dogs and cuddling on the couch. He's a total couch potato who's happy to hang out and relax with you all day, providing gentle companionship.

Ideal Home

Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a home with a doggie companion, as he loves playing with other dogs and is very submissive during play. Smokey would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day. He would do best in a house rather than an apartment.

Training & Support

Smokey is fully potty trained and ensures he only does his business outside. He is a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement but is easily redirected. He might pull slightly at the beginning of a walk but settles in and walks calmly. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut in. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he does not tear anything up and eventually stops crying. He would do well if left to free roam.
